THE Provincial Board of Negros Occidental is one with the provincial government in mourning the loss of Ian de Ramos, head of Special Project and Concerns Department, who passed away the other day.
De Ramos, 45, reportedly succumbed to cirrhosis of the liver.
During the regular session Wednesday, the Provincial Board passed a resolution extending their condolences to the De Ramos family.
They also offered a moment of silence before the session ended.
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. had earlier said that the untimely demise of de Ramos saddened his peers at the Provincial Government.
He lauded De Ramos, describing him as a workhorse, adding that the late Capitol executive left a big vacuum to fill.
De Ramos was in charge of the Panaad sa Negros Festival major events like Lin-ay sang Negros. (MPE)
