THE 2016-17 Negros Occidental High School @ 115 - NOHSAAI "Unity Cup" Bowling Fellowship Season 1 has rolled off at Negros Super Lanes of Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
Class '92 Alumni Associaton Inc. Director and Sports Chairman El Cid Familiaran said it is refreshing to see familiar faces in events of the alumni association like this one.
“I must say that I always look forward to any event that could bring us all together and be reminded of the bond we started sharing during our younger days,” Familiaran, the city vice mayor, said in his opening remarks.
“So today, I strongly encourage everyone to put aside all your concerns with work and enjoy the game as we open this year’s bowlfest,” he said.
“May this event start a new alliance, build a stronger solidarity, and may we all end this event triumphantly in any way as we practice the spirit of sportsmanship,” he added.
Class ‘92 alumni president Hubert Gamboa said he is grateful for the support of his fellow alumni in hosting this annual sporting event.
“I am thankful for everyone who are present and supporting this endeavor to unite the graduates of our alma mater,” Gamboa said in his closing remarks.
“Let's enjoy this great sport of bowling,” he concluded.
Tournament director Rizal Labordo of Class ‘92 led the oath of sportsmanship.
