THE Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) received an additional 100 traffic enforcers to be deployed for the 37th MassKara Festival celebration next month.
Rodolfo Song, concurrent administrative caretaker of BTAO, said yesterday the 100 enforcers underwent on week-long training at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan.
They underwent a physical training and attended a seminar, he said.
“They were lectured on values formation and on how to implement the existing traffic city ordinance in the city,” Song added.
He emphasized that before they will be deployed to the streets, they should be equipped in apprehending erring drivers.
BTAO has now a total of 300 traffic enforcers.
Song said the new enforcers will be assigned to various streets for the MassKara Festival.
He added that the existing enforcers were also required to undergo a refresher course to familiarize themselves with the new traffic city ordinances. (MAP)
