WE KNEW that we'll never get sober.
We were still drunk from the mesmerizing sunrise and view of the Hillsview Mountain Villa in Barangay Datu Salumay in Marilog District, Davao City when we bid our goodbye to the sun who had just bid its hello to us.
As much as it pained us to leave, we needed to move on and gave some room for our adrenaline to rush again for our next adventure: The Jive Highland Resort at Sitio Tagumpay, Datu Salumay in Marilog District.
After a quick cold bath that did not fail to give us shivers (brrrrrrrrrrr!), we packed up our stuff and trek downwards, with photo ops and selfies in-between strides, to get to the truck. We both agreed to ride at the back of the pick-up truck so that we can snap photos of scenes and sceneries that we will happen to pass by.
The car danced through the rough road as it traced the street out of DatuSalumay to our next destination. We shook along with it but it was fun. Along the way, we saw locals riding skylabs or “habal-habal” as they fondly call it.

We couldn’t get enough of the view of the pine trees and all things green. The wind was cool as it brushed against us, which was very refreshing, but we continued to take some photos, savoring the scenes.
Along the way, Pine trees lined up along the sides of the road. Then after around two kilometers of travel from Hillsview, we arrived at our destination. We were welcomed by dogs at the gate but we discovered later on that they were very friendly even to us strangers.
We strolled around the place while still in awe of the Mountain View and we took photos of the cabins there. There was an A-House, a house shaped like letter ‘A’. But what excited me the most and my companions were the thought that there was a waterfall inside the premises and a cave. It sounded like a promise of an adventure so we did go down the trail and see what the place offers.
Beware. You need an extra ounce of stamina to keep going and explore the waterfalls and the cave.
We finally heard the fall of water at the distant and at the sight of it; we immediately rushed down the trail only to be welcomed by the fresh water flowing from the falls.
We did not dive into the cold water though since we still have more destinations to visit so we just took as much good photos as we could. "Goodbye, goodbye," was all I can think of as we headed up and down the pavement to our truck, the vessel to our next adventure - the Bemwa Farm.
