THE Office of the Building Official (OBO) in Bacolod City on Friday, June 30, served the second notice of violation to Bacolod Bulk Water Inc. (BBWI) for the construction of its facilities in Barangay Granada without building permit.
OBO Head Isidro Sun Jr. said the notice was received by BBWI personnel Dante Singcol on Friday morning.
He said the BBWI still failed to submit the Resolution of No Objection (Rono) from the City Council, which is part of the requirements in securing a permit.
Sun added that the BBWI committed violations of the National Building Code (Presidential Decree No. 1096) and it’s implementing rules and regulations for the construction of its water treatment plant and intake structure facilities without the required OBO permit.
On May 25, OBO issued the first notice of violation to the BBWI.
“They have no building permit, but then they continued the construction of their facilities,” Sun said.
He said the BBWI was given three days to visit at OBO to comply with the requirements.
“Failure to do so shall cause this Office to institute appropriate action against them,” Sun added.
After sending the second notice of violation is not addressed, OBO will send another notice then it will be forwarded to the City Legal Office for the filling of possible charges.
Ryan Yapkianwee, chairman of BBWI, earlier said they can start delivering water supply by October since they are almost finished with the pipe laying.
