Busmen aim to defeat FC Meralco tomorrow

WITH two more matches left for Ceres Negros FC in the ongoing 2017 Philippines Football League, Risto Vidakovic's team will try to beat the heat Friday, November 24, when they face FC Meralco Manila at 3 p.m. at the National Training field at Carmona, Cavite.

On Tuesday’s post-match press conference, Vidakovic said that it's not easy for them to play with some players coming off the injuries and national duty.

“We are just here to finish the 28 games,” he said, adding, that they will try to survive tomorrow’s match with an expected 40-degree temperature.

On Tuesday, Ceres FC booked their 17th win with a 5-1 triumph over Ilocos United FC.

“It was a very tough game because, if you think about it, we are playing for nothing,” he said.

“Man of the match” Patrick Reichelt considered playing a full match as a gift after being injured for months.

He also echoed Vidakovic’s sentiment on the match that there’s not much to gain in this tournament.

“The most important thing is that at the end of the day, we don’t pick up more injuries,” he added.

Ceres FC’s last game will be against Global Cebu FC on November 28 at the latter’s turf.
