A BUTANE canister explosion caused a blaze in District 1, Barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion at 6:20 p.m. last Wednesday.
The fire destroyed the house owned by Anthony Quilaton.
No one was injured during the incident.
Cebu Provincial Police Office Director Eric Noble has ordered his personnel to go after the illegal sellers of butane.
On the same day, police seized 75 loaded butane canisters and 52 empty canisters in Barangay Poblacion 1, Carcar City.
The owner, however, escaped arrest. He ran after seeing the uniformed police officers.
