'Byaheng Do30' airs maiden show

THE "Byaheng Do30" kicked off its adventures with the maiden show over GMA5-Davao on Sunday morning.

"Byaheng Do30: Our trip for the next three years" will be aired every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The show takes a closer look at the projects and programs of the city under the watch of the City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Byaheng Do30 revolves around the 30 major programs and projects under the 10 key priorities of the Davao City Government.

The 10 key priorities are poverty alleviation, infrastructure, solid waste management, health, education, agriculture, tourism, transportation planning and traffic management, peace and order and disaster risk reduction and mitigation.

Each episode gives the viewers access to the process of accomplishing the goals of the city mayor for Dabawenyos. It is also the comeback of Duterte-Carpio as a Kapuso host.

Byaheng Do30 is a sequel of the 30-day caravan composed of 30 volunteers organized by the mayor and her mother, Elizabeth Zimmerman Duterte.

The City Mayor's Office has the biggest slice in the proposed P6.9 billion budget for 2017. Based on the proposal, the office will get P2-billion or around 38 percent of the general fund of the budget.

City Government's budget for 2017 will undertake the Byaheng Do30 initiative. The city is committed to strive for the improvement of the quality of life of its constituents and the entire city.

The City Council passed on third and final reading the annual budget for 2017 during Tuesday's regular session at the City Council.
