THE road widening project along Cabantian road is now 90 percent complete, an official said.
Acting City Engineer and City Building Official Joseph Dominic Felizarta Monday, April 3, said the road in the area is now passable.
"Wala na ma'y reklamo ang mga tao run kay passable naman siya (We no longer receive complaints now because the road is already passable)," Felizarta said.
He added the team targets to finish the project within this month.
Felizarta said the contractor requested for a 45-day extension for the project as the team was not able to finish it earlier due to heavy rains in the past months. The project was supposed to be completed in March this year.
"Nag-request sila kay kadtong November, December and for almost three months grabe ang ula nga ni dili sila makatrabaho sa night time so gi-grant namo ang extension, karon almost done na (They made a request because since November last year they cannot work at night because of heavy rains so we granted the extension and now the project is almost done)," he said.
Felizarta said the contractors target to finish the project before the end of the 45-day extension.
