ITALIAN clothing brand offering new fashion trends opens its first store in Mindanao, at the Ground Floor of Abreeza of the Ayala Malls in Davao City. It is Calliope's third store in the country after opening its outlet in premier shopping destinations, SM Mall of Asia in the nation's capital and SM Seaside in Cebu City.
Calliope, like its sister company Terranova, offers trendy but affordable complete line apparel and accessories for men and ladies.
"Our kids line will follow soon," Joanna Reyes, assistant brand manager, told this writer in an interview during the store's opening last Tuesday.
She assured Dabawenyo fashionistas that their window display found in its Davao outlet is just the same as those in Manila and Cebu, only there's a difference in the price, considering they are still in their opening sale plus additional 20 percent discount in all items.
She said the store offers new fashion trends with an edge to fit the discriminating taste of Dabawenyo fashionistas who are adapting to western style of clothing.
From casual to formal clothes, Calliope is making sure its designs and fabric used fit the tropical weather of Davao and the rest of Mindanao.
