Carcar City gets new police commander

CHIEF Inspector Randy Korret assumed as the new commander of Carcar City Police Station on Monday morning, October 2.

Korret, the concurrent Cebu Provincial Police Office-Provincial Operations and Plans Branch chief, replaced Chief Inspector Jose Liddawa, who was transferred to the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group in Camp Crame.

The turnover of command was presided by Superintendent Jaime Quiocho, the Cebu Provincial Police Office deputy director for administration.

Korret vowed he will not rest in going after drug personalities and other rogue individuals operating in the city.

He further said he will also focus on the drug-clearing programs of the city's 15 barangays.

Liddawa left the Carcar City police, after serving as its chief for 13 months. He was appointed in the position in August last year. (KAL)
