THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Davao said it has cartographic sketch of the three other persons of interest aside from the main suspect in the deadly explosion that hit the Roxas Night Market in Davao City last Friday night.
PRO Chief Superintendent Manuel Gaerlan said they have yet to release the sketch of the three other persons of interest as they still have to validate whether these persons are actually involved in the blast.
The Philippine National Police released Wednesday afternoon the cartographic sketch of the male suspect on the incident. The suspect was described as thin, around 5’7 tall and should be around 30 years old.
From the nature and signature of the improvised explosive device (IED), Gaerlan said, the police believed the suspects were from a threat group, coming from Central Mindanao.
The IED used in the bombing was earlier reported by the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Roxas night market as made out of the two mortar ammunition—a 60 millimeters and an 81 millimeters mortar bomb.
"Na-ikumpara din itong ginamit na IED doon sana recovered na illumination round earlier, at lumalabas nawala ito sa inventory ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP)," Gaerlan said.
Gaerlan said they were also looking into possibility that there are mortar-rounds smuggled to Mindanao coming from the other place.
He added the investigation is still ongoing.
The authorities were already hunting down two women and two men including the one whose cartographic sketch was released on Wednesday.
Gaerlan, meanwhile, belied reports that the suspects have used a getaway vehicle after the incident instead the main suspect reportedly walked away before the explosion.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio has previously announced she would give P2 million bounty for people who could present information on the identities and whereabouts of the suspects. (ICT)
