Cebu provincial cops await Kerwin's list of PNP protectors

THE police director of Central Visayas said that the law enforcers are waiting for the revelations of suspected drug lord Kerwin Espinosa about police officials who have been his protectors.

Chief Superintendent Noli Taliño said they will go after the underlings of the son of slain Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr.

“We will conduct police operations para ma-neutralize ang mga ito kung mayroon man sa Region 7 na magbabanggit at silay nagtutulak pa rin,” he said.

Taliño said they will wait for instructions from Camp Crame if Kerwin will mention officials who are still with Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 as drug protectors.

Inquiry

The officers, he said, could be ordered to report to the national headquarters for an inquiry. PRO 7, too, can conduct its own investigation.

Lahat nag-aantay kung sino ang papangalanan ni Kerwin at siguro in due time ay lalabas yung mga pangalan na babanggitin ni Kerwin (Everybody’s waiting for Kerwin to name his protectors),” said Taliño.

Cooperate

Kerwin, who arrived in Manila yesterday dawn, said he is willing to cooperate with the police.

Taliño said they have not given security to the relatives of the Espinosas in Cebu because they did not receive a request. If PRO 7 receives a request, a committee will review it.

The police official said that Kerwin must be secured because the latter has vital information that could deal a death blow to the illegal drug trade in the Visayas.
