CERES Negros FC left the country for Myanmar Sunday afternoon for the 2018 AFC Champions League Qualifiers against home squad Shan United FC on Tuesday, 5:30 p.m. (Philippine time) at the Thuwunna Stadium.
Despite having short preparations for this match, team manager James Dinsay said the management has huge faith in them to deliver, and the club will support them in this quest.
Spanish veteran keeper Toni Doblas will have his debut with the Philippine club alongside newly-signed Mike Ott, Sean Kane, and Japanese forward Takumi Uesato.
“We hope that Uesato and Bienvenido Marañon will connect with the system and deliver more fire power for Ceres FC,” said assistant coach Pepe Losada.
Mike Ott said he is excited to play with the club and help the team hurdle Shan United so that they can advance to the next round against Brisbane Roar of Australia in another away match on January 23.
Completing Risto Vidakovic’s squad are substitute keepers Louie Casas and Eduard Sacapaño, forwards Patrick Reichelt, Omid Nazari and Nessi Ramos; midfielders Kevin Ingreso, Manuel Ott, OJ Porteria, Stephan Schrock, Arnie Pasinabo, Joshua Dutosme, and Martin Steuble; and defenders Manuel Herrera, Carli de Murga, Junior Muñoz, Jeffrey Christiaens, and Amani Aguinaldo, who will skip this match.
Also in the team are assistant Ian Rolando Treyes, kit man Alfe Sabuha, and marketing manager Patrick Ace Bright.
