AFTER a hard fought controversial 1-2 loss to Home United FC late Wednesday evening in Singapore, Ceres Negros FC is looking to get back in the second leg of the AFC Cup Asean Zonal Finals at home.
The next game is set on August 9, 7:30 p.m. at Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.
The Busmen will try to keep their undefeated record at home since the tournament kicked off early this year.
Ceres FC was denied a pair of goals in the first half on an assistant referee's offside call.
Midfielder Iain Ramsay said he will not blame the officials for the loss because it’s not his style as well as of the club.
“It just didn’t go our way. Though there were decisions that we’re unhappy with, but that’s football. It’s obviously frustrating to lose three points but we are confident to win the game back home before our fans in Bacolod,” he said.
Having an away goal, Ramsay said that this will also help them boost their confidence in winning the finals.
Ceres Negros FC only needs to score 1-0 to advance to the next stage.
