Charo Santos says Kris Aquino still welcome in ABS-CBN

CHARO Santos does not feel slighted when Queen of All Media Kris Aquino announced that she's ending her ties with ABS-CBN.

In an interview with showbiz columnist Ricky Lo of the Philippine Star, Santos disclosed that she even sent a message to Aquino wishing her well.

"Actually, I texted her. I wish her all the best and thanked her for all the years that she has worked for ABS-CBN and I acknowledge that she has given so much relief and happiness, and delighted our viewers," she said.

The ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer added that she has no bad blood to whoever leaves the network because she supports their happiness and personal growth.

"Kahit na sino ang mag decide umalis, like Aga (Muhlach), Sharon (Cuneta) and Willie (Revillame), wala akong pagdaramdam kasi importante kung saan sila masaya."

Asked if there's a chance for Aquino to be seen again on the grounds of the Kapamilya Network, Santos said everything is possible.

She said Aquino is welcome anytime.

"Of course, the doors of ABS-CBN are always open to people who want to work with us again. But you wait for the stars to align for it to happen. It's not the decision of just one person. And yes, Kris is welcome back anytime."

Aquino announced last September 12 that she's cutting her ties with ABS-CBN after she signed a new deal with Tony Tuviera's APT Entertainment.

The television host recalled that she was supposed to renew her contract with the station last February but she had to leave the country because of security and health reasons.

When they decided to meet again in July, Aquino said the station had neither a definite show nor an assured timeframe for her return.

"I perfectly understood -- as much as I wanted to believe I was a pillar of the network, everybody is dispensable. And I say that with no bitterness - just honesty."

Aquino said she will be doing a new show with APT Entertainment. (Sunnex)
