A GROUP of Chinese investors are coming to Bacolod City by the end of July to explore possible infusion of investments in the city, said George Zulueta, a member of Bacolod City Local Investment Board.
He said that the program is in line with the invitation of Department of Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Jesus Hinlo Jr. and Filipino-Chinese businessman Kevin Lim.
Expected to arrive are officials of the Adhoc/Unofficial Translation of Shantou City Overseas Chinese Youth Federation Observation/Study Group/ Delegation to the Philippines.
They will be joined by executives of Gwangdong Lihao IT Inc., Yijia Plastic Products Inc., Phil. UBT Trading, New Youhao International Trading Corp., Xinyang International Transport/Logistics Corp., Shantou City Xiongxing Hotel and Restaurant Equipment Inc., Gwangdong Huanuo Import Export Trading Corp., Gwangdong Heda Travel Agency Inc., Shantou City Hongyun Sounds and Lights Technology Inc., and Shantou City Golden Dream.
“We will welcome them here because they might be future investors of Bacolod City. We will introduce them to potential business partners. We will have a business matching and site visit and host them a lunch with leaders of non-government organizations,” Zulueta said. “They are trade delegation coming from different industries such as tourism, hotels, trading, information technology, and manufacturing. They will see how they will invest in the city.”
The following day, the Chinese delegation will be hosted by the Negros Occidental Provincial Government.
“We are also eyeing the possible exchange of trade delegation from Bacolod to their country in the future,” Zulueta said.
