THE Business One Stop Shop (Boss) is expected to ease the business registration process, which will be in full swing on January 2017.
City Licensing Officer Benjie Barredo said that by introducing the two-step process and by bringing together all involved offices in one location in the Boss, business registration is expected to be efficient and convenient for local businesses.
Barredo added that the housing of all offices involved in business registration at Centro Latino will also help in traffic management by lessening the number of vehicles passing main thoroughfares during busy hours.
He said the two-step registration process will have the following requirements: for new business registration, documents needed are proof of business registration, business capitalization as business for computing taxes, fees, and charges, occupancy permit (for new/renovated buildings), contract of lease (if lessee) and barangay clearance for business purpose.
For renewals, requirements are documents to serve as basis for computing taxes, fees, and charges, and barangay clearance for business purposes.
