BACOLOD City Administrator John Orola said Wednesday the City Government will start soon the clearing of national roads from illegal structures.
He added that Mayor Evelio Leonardia has given the go-signal to clear the roads especially Mandalagan, Lacson, Gatuslao and San Juan.
“We have already notified those having illegal structures especially carinderias on the sidewalk that are already obstructing the roads. They have to be demolished,” Orola said.
He advised the informal settlers to coordinate with the National Housing Authority because there are already allocations for them.
Orola also warned trisikad and tricycle drivers to avoid major streets in the city because they are also obstructing traffic.
“They should not wait that the City government will do the necessary moves to keep them away from the major roads,” he said.
