Clean energy forum set in Bacolod Sept. 15

THE Greenpeace Philippines, Climate Reality Project Philippines, and the City of Bacolod are hosting a forum on “Negros Clean Energy” at the City Council session hall, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 15.

Themed “Maximizing the Solar Energy Potential of Negros Island,” the forum is aimed at encouraging the participation and boosting the interest of urban middle class in utilizing renewable energy.

It will also underline the benefits of solar energy through empowering stories of individuals, institutions, and establishments who have joined the energy revolution.

Series of sessions will be led by various industry experts and advocates.

Speakers include Reuben Muni of Greenpeace Philippines, Mike de Guzman of Solaric Philippines, Jun Sabayton of Climate Solutions Advocate, Ken Scales of Solar Power Corp. based in Dumaguete City, Rodney Galicha of Climate Reality Project, and Andy Coscolluela of Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation.

The activity is being held in cooperation with Kolektib, Youth Empowering Youth, Philippine Rural Reconstruction Youth Association, and Solar Generation Pilipinas.
