A MEMBER of the Philippines Coastguard (PCG) and his cousin were arrested in an anti-drug operation Tuesday, October 26, in Zamboanga City, the police said.
Chief Inspector Cesar Memoracion, Police Station 7 officer-in-charge, identified the arrested PCG member as Seaman First Class (SNI) Louis Dela Cruz, 36, and his cousin, Michele Macrohon, 39.
Memoracion said the suspects were arrested in a drug bust around 9 p.m. Tuesday at Zone 1 in the village of San Roque, Zamboanga City.
He said the arresting team seized from the possessions of the suspects one medium-sized heat-sealed plastic sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," eight small-sized heat-seal plastic sachets of "shabu," P500 marked money consisting of five P100 bills, mobile phone, wallet, and identification card of Dela Cruz.
He said they were detained pending the filing of appropriate charges against them.
