COCO Martin is saddened with the exclusion of his movie "The Super Parental Guardians" in the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) but still positive that moviegoers will support his film.
During the recent grand press launch of the Star Cinema movie, the "Ang Probinsyano" lead star admitted that he was lost for words upon learning that his film with close friend, comedian Vice Ganda, failed to make it in the final eight.
The actor thought that it's okay to do one movie every year as long as it will be included in the festival.
He said it’s the time of the year for the whole family.
Martin added that he's sad that the MMFF parade he promised to child stars Simon Ezekiel "Onyok" Pineda and McNeal "Awra" Briguela will not materialize this year.
And tuwang tuwa yung mga bata."
He knows that kids and their families are looking forward to comedy films every year and he believes they have the perfect Christmas offering.
Martin added that this movie serves as his way of giving back to the audience.
But amid the exclusion of "The Super Parental Guardians," the actor is keeping a positive mind on the matter.
He hopes that their November 30 play date will receive warm reception from moviegoers.
Sabi nga nila, 'Kapag may nagsaradong pinto, may magbubukas na bintana," Martin said.
