THE Convergys Converters once again proved its mastery over the Lexmark Stallions as they swept the best-of-3 championship series following a 58-51 in Game 2 of the Elite Classic Finals of the 2016 CSCC E-League held last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Likewise, SupportSave Dragons also swept the rookie squad Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties with an 89-73 win in Game 2 of the best-of-3 series to bag the Evo League title.

SupportSave just made a record being the only team who won all its games starting from the elimination round until the finals.

After yielding a one-point lead after the first quarter, Convergys started to work even harder to outscore Lexmark 34-25 on the next two quarters and put up a tough defensive stance in the final period to keep the title they won last year.

Convergys eliminated Lexmark on the semi-final round last year, on its way to win the title against Teleperformance All-Stars.

Sherwin Resilla scored 17 points, ROY awardee Aldene Batino added 15 and Final MVP Franz Dysam finished with 10 points as Convergys denied the brilliant 14 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and two steals performance of Franco Cipriano and the game high 18 points production of Sylvester Millevo of Lexmark.

Meanwhile, Niño Belande led the early surge of SupportSave to win its first E-League title.

The Dragons scored 51 points in the opening 20 minutes of the game to make its 19-point lead as cushion when the Tech Mighties tried to make a comeback in the final half.

Belande who won the Finals MVP on top of his Season MVP title finished with 23 points, Edmond Paradiang added 16, Janelle Bantillan scored 12 points.
