rA DATE on the altar with the love of your life is a milestone and a commitment of a lifetime.
Just every couple who set the altar for their big day ,acknowledges the need for God to bless the marriage. God, being the third cord, is seen as the one who will captain the union, protect the marriage, keep it strong and the love alive.
Dalton Felix, a medical representative, said: "God is important in our marriage because it keeps me grounded on the truth of what marriage really is (and not on what popular mainstream media say); the truth of how far God wants it to go, farther than what the world calls forever."
Felix, who is married to certified public accountant Maricel, an auditor at Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, is doting father to Zion and Lexi.
Meanwhile, businessman Donny Teo, said, "God being the third cord means He is the center of our marriage to keep our relationship strong despite our differences and difficulties."
Teo, who is happily married to Charlene for nine years, said it is important to seek God's blessing for the marriage to be nurtured and become fruitful. Both have been blessed with two children, Samantha and Sebastien.
