Cordillera drug list to be revalidated

Published on

THE Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) is set to revalidate the names in the initial list of drug users released to the different regions in the country by President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a joint resolution of the Regional Development Council-RPOC, the move to revalidate the list is to ensure and confirm the accuracy of the present list in the region.

The council stated the creation of the CRPOC Sub-committee on revalidation will be headed by the CRPOC chairman, vice-chairman, representatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Armed Forces of the Philippines and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, while the Department of the Interior and Local Government regional director will assume as head of the secretariat.

The move is in support of the government's fight against anti-illegal drugs, which is a centerpiece program of the Duterte administration. (Jonathan Llanes)
