CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus, Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO) director, said police officers using illegal drugs have "no place" in Philippine National Police (PNP).
Corpus, who was the guest of honor during the first anniversary of the Bahay Pagbabago Reformation Center in Barangay San Benito, Dinalupihan, Bataan over the weekend said that police officers found using illegal drugs will face dismissal from the service.
The regional director said he has received a report that a police officer from Nueva Ecija and another from Angeles City tested positive of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," in the recent drug test.
“I will recommend for their dismissal,” Corpus said.
“Mas gugustuhin kong maging pulis ang dating addict kesa pulis na nagiging drug addict. ‘Yon galing sa Bahay Pagbabago na maging pulis mas mabuti kesa pulis na at naging addict,” Corpuz said.
He even urged qualified graduates from the Bahay Pagbabago Reformation Center in Dinalupihan to apply as police officers as the PNP is in need of 10,000 policemen next year.
“Matutuwa si General Bato (PNP Director General Ronald Dela Rosa) na merong dating addict na nag-aaply bilang pulis,” Corpus said. (Ric Sapnu)
