A COUPLE, the husband of which is a known drug personality, was arrested in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Thursday, September 15.
Zamboanga Sibugay Police Director Romulo Cleve Taboso identified the arrested suspects as Mansol Modapil, 38, and his wife, Anthonete, 24, of Poblacion village, Malangas town.
Taboso said the suspects were arrested in a drug bust around 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the village of Poblacion Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The couple was arrested after they handed over a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, to an undercover policeman in exchange for P200.
The arresting team recovered from the suspects’ possession P200 marked money and another sachet of shabu aside from the one they sold to the undercover policeman.
The couple were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
