THE arraignment of the couple, who are facing a trial before the court after the death of their child, Kean Agustin, whom they allegedly placed inside a sack, was moved anew since they don’t have a legal counsel to represent them in court yet.
Regional Trial Court Branch 52 Presiding Judge Ronald Tolentino ordered to reset the arraignment schedule for the murder and parricide charges lodged against couple Sonny Boy Mendoza, Kean’s stepfather, and Grace Agustin respectively on November 7 during their supposed arraignment on Tuesday, October 18.
Based on the interview with the relatives of Mendoza, the judge asked for the accused to get a legal counsel who will represent them during the next scheduled hearing.
The sister of Sonny Boy said they are now processing the documents in securing a legal counsel for the accused and it would probably come from the Public Attorney’s Office.
The same legal counsel will also represent Kean’s mother for the parricide complaint filed against her. (KVC)
