AFTER their successful campaign in tertiary basketball, Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV) expands their support to chess with the staging of CSAV Festival of Chess Mixed 14 and Under and Open Category on December 19 at the City Mall Mandalagan in Bacolod City.
The event will be co-bankrolled by Role Finance and Investment Corporation.
The game is set at 15 minutes plus 5 seconds increment play to finish.
Registration is pegged at P200 for the Open Category and P100 for the 14 and Under division.
Winners will receive the following: Open–P6,000 for the champion; P5,000, second place; P4,000, third place; P3,000, fourth place; and P2,000, fifth place. Sixth to tenth placers will get P1,000 each.
For the 14 and Under, the champion will receive P4,000 while second place will get P3,000; third place, P2,000; fourth place, P1,500; and fifh place, P1,000.
Special award is at P500 each for best 12 years old and below, best 10 years old and below, best 8 years old and below, and best lady performer.
