THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) has collected over half of its projected target of P36.495 billion for November.
Preliminary data from the bureau’s Financial Service show that it was able to achieve an average daily collection of P1.896 billion as against daily target pegged at P1.762 billion.
The mid-November revenue collection performance illustrates an average of 7.6% positive deviation versus its daily target.
Six collections districts have significantly contributed to this positive performance. These ports are:
- Manila International Container Port (MICP), with an average daily collection of P623.94 million (20.4% above its daily target);
- Port of Batangas, with an average daily collection of P393.17 million (2.9% above its daily target);
- Port of Limay, with an average daily collection of P141.65 million (11.1% above its daily target);
- Port of Cebu, with an average daily collection of P80.63 million (14.9% above its daily target);
- Port of Subic, with an average daily collection of P74.59 million (9.9% above its daily target);
- Port of Davao, with an average daily collection of P55.78 million (13.3% above its daily target).
Also not far from achieving their collection targets are the Ports of Manila and Clark. (FP/Sunnex)
