DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio defended Davao City information officer Jefry Tupas from being allegedly involved in the issue of House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and Davao del Norte Representative Antonio Floirendo Jr. Duterte-Carpio.

In her Facebook post, the city mayor showed a screenshot of her conversation with her husband lawyer Manases Carpio revealing that a staff of Alvarez called Carpio, asking Tupas to tone down his words against the speaker.

The post revealed the camp of Alvarez tagged Tupas as a person hired by Cathy Binag, live-in partner of Floreindo, to hurl words against the speaker.

"You may have mistaken Tupas for Tesiorna, pareho silang T (They're surnames both start with T), both pretty also. Today is soooo Monday. Alvarez vs Floirendo," she wrote in her post.

The mayor was referring to freelance Press Release consultant Ben Jason Tesiorna.

"We have been sitting on the sidelines, eating popcorn, watching the show. Ms/Mr Chief of Staff, as you know, private airplanes, girlfriends and cat fights are not our thing. Ayaw mi apil-apila ha (Do not include us). We don't open our mouths kung dili amoa ang away (it's not our fight), we just roll our eyes and move on. Lord help you. No, we don't eat popcorn diay, that's a lie, we rock humba!!" the mayor said.

The conflict between the two lawmakers allegedly stemmed from the fight between the girlfriends of Alvarez and Binag.
