DAVAO City Councilors hoped that they get invited to the second State of the Nation Address (Sona) of President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, July 24, at the Batasan Complex.
Councilor Bernard Al-ag said that they are trying to be invited in the occasion.
"Nagpa-invite mi pero wala pa'y response kay actually ang host man pag Sona kay ang Congress. (We are trying to be invited, but there is still no response yet because the host of the Sona will be the Congress)," he said, expecting that President Duterte will deliver a straightforward Sona.
"I expect it to be a Sona which is direct to the point to the heart of the Filipinos, what matters to the Filipinos, peace and order, safety and then about economy," he said.
The Davao City Councilors were present during the first Sona of the president last year.
Al-ag said he also saw through a news article that Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is already preparing for the attire she will wear on the occasion. (KVC)
