TAGUM Cooperative in Davao del Norte, is eyeing to increase its total number of members by some 70 percent by 2020.
General manager Juris Perez said they intend to make its total number of members to 120,000.
The cooperative currently has 75,121 members.
"This will be essential in achieving our target of increasing our assets by P7 billion within the next four years," he said.
Tagum Cooperative, which was founded since 1967 by 38 founding members, has P4 billion in assets.
It has become the largest Davao Region-based cooperative in terms of asset size, second in Mindanao, and seventh in the Philippines.
As Tagum Cooperative gears towards its 50th Anniversary on October 2017, it received international brands and awards.
The cooperative recently bagged the Foccus Platinum Achievement Award, the highest recognition given by Model Cooperative Network.
Foccus is Finance Organizations achieving Certified Credit Union Standards.
Miriam Baloyo, member of the Board of Directors, for her part said, the cooperative achieved such milestone as it accomplished "highest level of financial ratios in its savings and credit operations."
Baloyo said Tagum Cooperative banners savings and credit as its main products.
As of August, the cooperative's loan portfolio reached to P3.102 billion, deposits of P1.918 billion, share capital of P1.345 billion and net surplus of P231.84 million with a delinquency rate of 6.71 percent.
