DAYS before a New Year hit the calendar, Davao City Police Office (DCPO) continues with their intensified Anti-Criminality and Terrorism Operations dubbed as "Oplan Bulabog" with another round of operation on Friday, December 29, that led to the arrest of nine wanted personalities and profiling of a total of 1,527 individuals.
DCPO spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan said their simultaneous operation started around 6 a.m. and ended at 9:30 a.m. in identified barangays in the city.
Through the Warrants of Arrest for various serious criminal cases, the suspects nabbed were identified as Bernardo R. Luto for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act; Jovencio M. Cocjin for attempted murder; and Roberto R. Pamilgan, Devina D. Alimpuhos, and Christopher C. Manos for violation of Illegal Gambling.
Other arrested individuals were Gregorio Barcoma for illegal fishing, Glenda A. Murakimi for violation of SSS Law; Franklin L. Dumalvan for physical injury; and Vincent T. Capunong for robbery.
The operation resulted to the issuance of two temporary operating permit (TOP) for minor traffic violations.
Law enforcers likewise profiled some 1,527 residents in the area. Of the total, 1,397 persons have an identification card (ID) and 130 without an ID.
The simultaneous Anti-Criminality Operations was conducted in Police Station (PS1) in Kalye Putol, Barangay 33; PS2 ( Purok 5 & 6, Barangay 11-A); PS3 (Purok 35, Barangay 76-A); PS4 (Km 9, Coaco, Sasa); PS5 (Purok San Miguel, Barangay Indangan); PS6 (Km 24, Bunawan); PS8 (So. Lipadas, Barangay Daliao, Toril); PS9 ( Mintal); and PS10 (Purok 31, Poblacion Calinan).
It was launched through a joint effort of different security forces and law enforcement units of DCPO including Task Force Davao (TFD), Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Regional Maritime Unit (RMU), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU).
