PORAC -- Vice Mayor Dexter David lauded the efforts of the Porac Bank here for continually hosting gift-giving events in time for the Yuletide Season.
David said that other businesses in the town should also establish their own corporate social responsibility programs.
David, on behalf of the officials of the town, congratulated the rural bank for its “Paskong Puno ng Ligaya sa Batang may Pag-asa” Year 2 which gives gifts to children of the town in time for the Yuletide Season.
The children were given gifts and Yuletide items in a simple program that highlighted the importance of giving.
“In behalf of the Local Officials of Porac, Pampanga headed by our Mayor Carling Dela Cruz, we would like to extend our gratitude to the Directors, Officers and Employees of Porac Bank Corporation for this significant program for our Cabalens. Dacal a salamat pu at Mabuhay kayong lahat,” David said.
David added that if all businesses and corporations in the town would host social programs not just during the Yuletide Season, the spirit of volunteerism and sense of corporate responsibility would be more than alive in the town.
David also lauded the founders, officers and members ng Jalungians Buklud Lugud, a social club in Barangay Jalung here for hosting wellness events for their senior citizens in the barangay. The group hosts parties for seniors during the Yuletide Season for six years in a row.
“This is an example of how organizations could work in hand with government to address the needs of certain sectors not just through parties but also through advocacies that can change the status quo,” David added.
