THE Davao City Golf Club (DCGC) placed fourth as the Sherwood Hills Golf Club and and Lumbia Golf and Country Club shared the lead in Aviator Division at the start of the 70th Regular Men’s PAL Interclub golf tournament in Davao City Wednesday, March 1.
DCGC made a total of 91 points, 15-point behind leaders Sherwood and Lumbia that made identical 106, in the first round of action at the Apo Golf and Country Club here.
Manuel "Jun-Jun" Grandeza paced DCGC with 27 points while Elvie Naranjo added 25, Valeriano "Larry" Pasquil had 20 and Jerson Lebosada with 19.
Shun Ariizumi scored 30 to lead Sherwood while Chepe Dulay registered 36 for Lumbia.
Alta Vista Golf and Country Club, for its part, accumulated 93 points with Taeyun Kong (27) as top scorer.
Meanwhile, Lanang Golf Club trailed at 10th place in Friendship division with a 66 courtesy of Australia-based Danny Nagayo's 20 points, Paul Anthony Dacudao's 19, Elias Arriba's 18 and Ruben Erikson's nine.
PGA of British Columbia (95) zoomed to the top spot with a 95 while Camp Aguinaldo (75) and KGC Boys Club Mebourne (74) came second and third, respectively.
Apo Golf and Country Club and Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club are also seeing action in the four-day competition.
