ARCHIE de Asis and Hedda Riola emerged champions in their respective categories at the close of the Igacos 50 trail race over the weekend at the Beach Camp Peñaplata in the Island Garden City of Samal.
De Asis clocked a total of six hours, 35 minutes and 46 seconds to annex the first Igacos 50 men's title over Adrian Alibango (6:43:27) and Jabes Pido of Team Titans Davao (7:00:30) who finished second and third, respectively.
Riola, for her part, clinched the women's crown after checking in at 8:26:34, racing past Joy Mawalic (10:44:23) and Cecilia Larobis (11:21:40) who grabbed the next two spots.
They all received medals, freebies, and items from Bagani Active Gear.
