CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The observance of the 22nd National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) in Central Luzon will be highlighted by community dialogues and school lectures from September 1 to 10.

National Police Commission Regional Director Rodolfo Grande Santos Jr. said the community dialogues are scheduled in barangays San Isidro and Maimpis in the City of San Fernando on September 3 and Barangay Poblacion Norte in Paniqui, Tarlac, on September 10.

The school lectures will be held in Bulacan State University on September 1, Pampanga High School on September 6, Angeles City National High School on September 8, and Tarlac State University on September 7.

“These community dialogues and lectures shall put emphasis on the current campaign against illegal drugs. There will also be discussions on fire safety as well as a video presentation on the current state of our jails,” Santos said.

"As partners, we shall hold each other's hands to achieve our vision of a peaceful and developed country. Through this partnership, we are assured of a policing system whereby our law enforcers empower and revitalize the community who in turn are the main players in achieving peace," added Santos.

This year’s celebration of NCPW is themed “Hawak Kamay Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran.”
