EMPATHY is putting one’s self into other’s shoes. It understands a person on his or her context.
But when this is done too much, it also drains one’s energy – giving one bad vibes.
Let me tell you the signs of being an empath according to Dr. Michael Smith.
You are a good listener and people naturally want to tell you their stories.
There is nothing wrong in being a good listener. In fact, it is a positive attitude that provides comfort to those who are unheard. But, sometimes, even a good listener gets tired especially if the same person consults you for the same reason many times in a day.
rThere are really people who are not that very sensitive, consuming much of others times and even demands for more.
You feel emotions deeply and you may even cry easily for no reason.
A person who is good in listening has tendencies of deeply feeling how others feel too. It is like they are part of others' stories and cries as the other person also cries for help. Other than this, they also have inclinations of just crying with no cause at all. They cry like it’s an essentiality in living life – like the act of breathing itself.
Your intuition is very strong, especially when it comes to other people.
It is good to partly guess what others feel and think. It is being super sensitive to the needs of others. Your ability to think ahead of how others prosper or suffer will guide you on how to deal with others positively. But intuitions are not always right; you might sin for your incorrect thoughts and might be guilty of being a prejudice.
You know what’s going on with them even though they haven’t told you anything.
This is beneficial since people who no longer need to tell how they feel, because your power to assess is importantly enough to know others concerns. But assessments too can fail – communicating by heart is more effective.
If you have these manifestations, remember not to allow yourself, doing it excessively.
It is Godly to be a shoulder to cry on, a listener to calm a heart and an advocate to fight for others. But it is absolutely an injustice to one’s self, if you’re into it but it is causing you like living a life in fire – a hell of absorbing everyone’s concerns, issues and pains, leading you to an unhealthy life.
Caring involves empathy but I say this to you verily, begin caring to yourself before caring for others. It is impossible to take care of other’s heart without taking care of your heart first. Cure your wounded heart, touch your ailing body, listen to your unspoken words and allow yourself to fly in heaven – before being the wind beneath others wings to fly to heaven.
Give yourself the energy you deserve. Walk away from negative people.
Remember to empathize with reservations, choose to take care of yourself – it is an essential way to protect you from negative vibes! (PR)
