THE Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a criminal complaint against Korean-American drug supplier Jun No at the Pasay City Regional Trial Court on Monday, April 24.
The case was for his alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for selling 140 tablets of ecstasy.
No who was arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on April 5 but escaped hospital detention at the East Avenue Medical Center after his operation for acute appendicitis.
A complaint of obstruction of justice was filed against No's 24-year-old companion, Darlene "Soeyang" Son, for giving the suspect P3,000 cash.
The money, according to authorities, was used for No's escape.
The two policemen guarding the suspect, Philippine National Police officer SPO2 Michael Macarubbo and SPO2 Ernie Eugenio assigned with he PDEA, are now facing criminal complaints of evasion through negligence.
Eugenio was said to be sleeping beside No when the Korean suspect got away, while Macarrubo was eating breakfast outside of the hospital. (VoxPop Philippines)
