A KOREAN-AMERICAN, who had escaped from police custody while detained at a hospital in Quezon City last April 15, has been included in the Immigration Lookout Bulletin (ILB) list of the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
BI spokesperson Antonette Mangrobang confirmed Tuesday that Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has issued an immigration look out bulletin order (ILBO) against Jun No last April 18.
The DOJ recently announced the indictment of No in connection with his arrest for selling 140 tablets of ecstasy. A case for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act was filed against him before the Pasay Regional Trial Court.
Mangrobang said that based on records, No's last entry to the country was in September 2014. There was no record of departure yet pertaining to the subject, she said.
On April 5, No was arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
He had escaped from police custody at the East Avenue Medical Center on April 15 after he was operated for acute appendicitis.
Charges for obstruction of justice has already been filed against No's 24-year-old companion, Darlene "Soeyang" Son, for allegedly giving the suspect P3,000.
The two policemen assigned to secure him in the hospital are now facing charges for evasion through negligence. (VoxPop Philippines)
