A SUSPECTED drug pusher was wounded after he resisted arrest past 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, in Sitio Bugnay 1, Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.
Police identified the suspect as Peter Paul Abella.
Serapin Mahilom was also arrested during the operation.
Abella noticed he was dealing with a police officer, who acted as the poseur buyer, of the anti-narcotics unit of Cebu City Police Station 10.
The suspect, who is reportedly taller than the police officer, tried to grab the gun.
The police officer pulled the trigger while grappling with Abella and hit the suspect's thigh.
Abella was rushed to a hospital for treatment of his wound.
Complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Abella and Mahilom. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
