A DRUG user was shot to death by three unidentified men Tuesday, April 11, at Barangay Linaoan, Cauayan in Negros Occidental.

Cauayan Municipal Police Station Chief Reuben Pajarito identified the fatality as Diorico Silvano, 43, of Sitio Ilis, Barangay Inayawan. He was a vendor.

Pajarito said Silvano was riding a tricycle on his way home when the assailants flagged down the vehicle and told him to go down.

When the tricycle left, the gunmen fired at Silvano, and fled on foot.

The victim was found dying by the roadside around 6:30 a.m.

He was shot at close range and succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, Pajarito said.

Recovered from the scene were eight fired bullets of .45 caliber pistol.

Pajarito said Silvano was subjected to Oplan Tokhang many times but he refused to surrender.

In September 2016, Silvano was also shot by unidentified men.

Pajarito said they are eyeing grudge as the motive.
