PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte said Monday that the "yellow group" is throwing dirty tricks against him in order to remove him from office.
The President alleged that the "yellow" party was trying to implicate him in violating human rights over the rising number of drug personalities killed in the country.
He was apparently referring to the yellow-themed Liberal Party (LP) of his predecessor, former President Benigno Aquino III.
"Let us not fool each other. [United States President Barack] Obama rides on it. [United Nations secretary general] Ban Ki Moon rides on it. Do you know who's behind this game? It's the yellow," Duterte said at the oath taking of senior officials in the government held at the Palace's Heroes Hall.
"They can think that if they can build a case against me, I'll be impeached," he added.
Ban Ki Moon earlier expressed alarm over the spate of killings of individuals included in the drug list.
Obama likewise said he would like to bring up the issue of extra-judicial killings in the country when he meets Duterte.
Despite this, Duterte maintained that his fight against narcotics would be "relentless" until drug proliferation ends.
Duterte also reiterated that he would put his honor, life and presidency at stake just to end the drug menace in the country.
"My God, I tell you frankly, when I assumed office, in this quest of mine, I have prepared to lose my honor, my life and the presidency," the President said.
"My values are not good as yours--that's what you said--but this is my own value. I have a set of rules to live life," he added.
The President has pointed the fingers to the "yellow" group for fueling the false information about his war against drugs. (Sunnex)
