PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte is scheduled to have a one-on-one dialogue with then President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Monday afternoon.
Based on the advisory sent to Palace reporters, Duterte will meet Arroyo at the Malacañan Palace at 5:30 p.m.
This will be the second time the two will meet at the Palace but the first time the two will have a one-on-one meeting.
Duterte and Arroyo had already met when the former convened the National Security Council (NCS) in July. The NSC meet happened days after the Supreme Court acquitted Arroyo of plunder.
After their meeting, the President will then meet anew Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founding chairman Nur Misuari.
Misuari had already met Duterte on November 3 when the lower court decided to suspend the pending arrest warrants issued against him.
Duterte has been very outspoken of his intent to have a peace negotiation with the MNLF to end the long-decade problems in beleaguered Mindanao.
Misuari, for his part, had also committed to cooperating with the government to achieve peace in the region.
"Peace is utmost, most vital humanitarian value to us," Misuari said.
"I promise that should he need our cooperation in his campaign for peace, you can count on us, Mr. President," he added. (Sunnex)
