EGMPC overcomes Panadero, 74-70

EL GRANDE Multi-purpose Cooperative (EGMPC) scored a win anew after beating Panadero Bakeshoppe, 74-70, in the resumption of the FKA AgriChemical Corporation-backed Catalunan Grande Summer League (CGSL) at the Monte Maria Village Covered Court Sunday evening, June 25.

Eric Flores scored game-high 15 points while teammate JP Dela Peña added 14 to keep EGMPC unbeaten after three outings.

The six-member Panadero relied on Adrian Mamba who sank 34 points including six triples.

Harley Garcia chipped in 20 for Panadero that dropped to 1-1.

Pag-ibig Homes, meanwhile, posted its second straight victory after routing Mahiwaga, 70-62, in the event sponsored by Davies Paint, The Royal Mandaya Hotel, Tanduay, Bearing Center and Machinery Inc., Mikki's Lechon, El Grande Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Pantoja Marketing.

Aldrin Caballes sank 23 while Ton Miranda and Kenzo Lao accounted for 17 and 15, respectively.

Reb Martinez made 23 markers for Mahiwaga that held a 0-3 win-loss card.

The team will eye its first win when it collides with Paseo Grande on Sunday.
