TO TRAVEL all over our country or around the world, to witness beautiful places, is every person’s dream. It is also a once in a lifetime opportunity. But it’s mostly costly and will take time for preparation and to organize accordingly.
I must admit that I love traveling, as it makes me feel relaxed and feel free out from the real working life that provides me my living. Every year, I see to it to have at least three to four times local travel, to explore something new and to discover the culture of every Filipino people in different places of our country. It’s also a tool to reward myself for smart working in the institution I’m engaged.
To be honest, to travel is also expensive, if you don’t know the strategies to stretch your budget. Also to travel can very tiring if you are not that prepared and condition your body. For my several years of travelling, I also encountered many errors and regrets along the way, but I learned a lot on each of my travel that I can apply on my next trip.
Here are some of my self-experience tips on traveling that are maybe helpful to you.
Have a common fund
If traveling as a group or with friends, make sure to have a common fund from the very beginning of the trip. In order to have a fair share expenses on the foods, fare, entrance fees and hotel accommodation. Also to avoid hassle on each part to whom will pay and always assume to pay the bills. Assigne a treasurer to always liquidate, keep the official receipts and list all the expenses.
Bring a power bank
Make sure to bring chargers and power bank. I visited a popular mall, I saw a 2 in 1 function power bank with Bluetooth speaker built in. Traveling can cause draining for the gadget batteries and arriving at the place where you can connect your chargers can mostly have a limited slot. So there’s a tendency that all of you will have wait for your own turn and it can actually lost patience. With the help of extension wire, many of you can utilize the charging.
Research on your destination
Take time to make a research the internet and ask your friends about the place you will explore. To gather information and ideas where to stay and the estimate cost to be incurred of the travel. A map application is also a very helpful tool along the travel nowadays. It keeps you track on the places and will avoid you of getting lost around the area and overpricing on the fare expenses as you can already estimate how far is the destination.
Be a boy scout
Be a boy or girl scout all the time, learn to utilize the available things. For me to travel and witness different places make us realize how beautiful life is. It is the reason to look forward in all the challenges we encounter.
