CEBU -- Eric Cray secured a semifinal spot in the men's 400m Hurdles as he finished third in the heat four in Rio Olympics in Brazil, on Monday, August 15.
Cray finished the heat with a time of 49.05 seconds behind the 48.83 seconds of Thomas Barr of Ireland, and 48.62 seconds of Keisuke Nozawa with 48.62 seconds.
The Filipino athlete has qualified for the semifinal round on Wednesday, August 17.
Cray got his ticket to Rio 2016 Olympics after he met the qualifying mark of 49.40 seconds for the men's 400m Hurdles at the Cayman Invitational Athletics.
He also snatched the title of Southeast Asia's fastest man as Cray won the men's 100m at the Southeast Asian Games on June 2015. (Sunnex)
