THE Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) 2017 Escandor Cup Mindanao Finals will open at 4 p.m., Wednesday, November 22, at the Almendras Gym Davao City Recreation Center.
Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) executive program officer Ronel Leuterio, in an text message to VoxPop Davao, said five teams including Holy Cross of Davao College, Xavier University of Cagayan de Oro City, Holy Trinity College of General Santos City, J.H. Cerilles State College and Southern City Colleges of Zamboanga will vie for national finals spot in Manila next year.
The five teams will compete in a single-round robin format elimination round. The top two teams will advance to the championship match slated Saturday, November 25.
Admission is free in the cagefest sanctioned by SBP Davao Chapter and sponsored by SBP regional director Glenn Escandor.
