"GOD willing, next year."
This was the response of actress-comedienne Eugene Domingo when asked about her wedding plans with Italian film critic boyfriend Danilo Bottoni.
The "Celebrity Bluff" host shared during the recent press conference of the game show that they already discussed the possibility of tying the knot.
But Domingo said they are not in a hurry to settle down as they want things to happen naturally.
"We're taking time. Mas napapag-usapan namin where to settle because we love traveling. Hindi naman kami yung atat na atat," she said.
If she's the one to decide, the comedienne prefers to be married at an old chapel she visited in Italy. She said it will be a small and simple wedding with just their closest family and friends.
Bottoni also considers staying in Manila for a few weeks or months while its winter season in Europe. She said her boyfriend likes the Philippines so much.
"Hindi ako pwedeng tumigil sa pag-entertain ng televiewers dahil sa palagay ko isa sa mga nagbibigay sa akin ng buhay and blessing ay ang pag entertain ng mga tao. Hindi pwedeng bitawan kasi regalo ng Diyos yan."
Right now, Domingo is back in Italy spending quality time with Bottoni.
She said more than work, her priority now is her personal life.
"I'm very inspired and I'm always thankful to God na umabot pa ako sa ganito. I cannot describe the happiness. At one point you have to give up one aspect to give more time to what you think is more important in your life."
Domingo added that she's grateful to have met someone who complements her. They share the same passion for films and love for travel.
She said Bottoni is "perfect" for her.
"He's very funny and his faith is very strong. Napaka-prayerful and napaka-gentle but funny and crazy. Ang perfect for me."
The comedienne recalled that when she met the Italian film critic three years ago at the Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy, she immediately knew that he'll be a big part of her life.
"Naramdaman ko nung nakita ko siya na hindi siya pwedeng mawala sa buhay ko. During that time I was really tired... napagod din ako e. And then he suddenly appeared in front of me."
At 45, Domingo said she's just thankful to have met someone who challenges, excites and loves her.
As for those still searching or waiting for their Mr. Right, the comedienne said be patient and it will come.
"Kung nangyari sa akin, imposibleng hindi mangyari sa inyo. I really did not expect it but I've been praying to God to please take care of my heart. It's a blessing and I can't stop thanking the Lord for giving me the gift of love," she ended. (VoxPop Philippines)
